Safety & reporting
How reporting works
Reports help SellSpace9ja moderation identify possible safety or marketplace-rule problems. A report is a signal for review, not automatic proof of wrongdoing.
Who can report
Signed-in users can report an eligible listing. Buyers and sellers can also report the other party from supported negotiation or accepted-transaction flows when there is a genuine marketplace relationship.
One person cannot repeatedly report the same listing or the same supported transaction context to increase the report count.
What the reported person can see
SellSpace9ja does not show the reported seller or buyer the reporter's identity, private contact details, or raw report message. The reported person may receive a general safety notice or the normalized report category when the product provides one.
Full report evidence is reserved for authorized moderation review. This helps reduce retaliation and protects the reporting process.
What happens after a report
Moderation can review individual reports and grouped cases, dismiss reports that are not supported, hide or restore listings, temporarily suspend or restore accounts, and apply a permanent ban when the final enforcement policy allows it.
Multiple independent reports can trigger a temporary safety hold so risky activity is paused while the case is reviewed. Temporary holds are reversible; they do not by themselves prove wrongdoing.
Account review
A temporarily suspended account can use the Account page to request a moderation review when eligible. The account remains suspended while the request is pending. A permanently banned account cannot start another appeal under the current policy.
Urgent or criminal situations
SellSpace9ja reporting is not an emergency service. If you believe someone is in immediate danger or a crime requires urgent attention, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement service rather than relying only on a marketplace report.
