Buy, inspect, and pick up with care
SellSpace9ja helps buyers and sellers discover each other. It does not collect marketplace item payments, hold money in escrow, verify ownership, or guarantee an item's condition.
Before paying
- Never pay a viewing, inspection, reservation, unlocking, commitment, verification, agent, caution, delivery, or similar advance fee before you inspect the item.
- Inspect and test the item before paying whenever practical.
- Seller-provided photos, videos, receipts, and descriptions are not independently verified unless SellSpace9ja explicitly says otherwise.
Contact after an accepted offer
Before acceptance, keep phone numbers, WhatsApp details, email addresses, bank details, payment links, and deposit instructions out of listing and negotiation text.
After acceptance, the seller sees the buyer's public display name only. The accepted buyer completes the Safe Pickup checkpoint before SellSpace9ja reveals the seller's phone or WhatsApp number.
Buyers should contact sellers during the 48-hour accepted-offer handoff window. If the seller does not hear from the buyer, the seller may release the reservation under the marketplace rules. SellSpace9ja does not automatically cancel the reservation at the deadline.
Safer pickup
- For valuable or bulky items, consider bringing someone with you.
- Tell someone where you are going.
- Choose a reasonably safe meeting or pickup arrangement when practical.
- Daylight pickup can be useful when practical.
- Large furniture and appliances may reasonably require pickup from a home.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, password, banking login, or security code.
Reporting and safety review
Signed-in users can report suspicious listings or eligible post-acceptance behavior. A single report is a safety signal, not automatic proof that a rule was broken.
Multiple independent reports may cause a listing or account to be placed under a reversible temporary safety hold while moderation reviews the available evidence. Permanent account bans remain a moderation decision after review.
